No New York City. Can't afford it. Trying to figure out the next step. Probably going back to Berklee. Did all of this for nothing.

February the 14th
Ah, Valentine's Day. Also known as Singles Awareness Day. Also known as the one holiday that half of the population bashes in order to make themselves feel better that no one cares enough about them to buy them candy or get them presents.
Let's stop with the bitterness, y'all. This is obviously a very important message I am sending out there or else I wouldn't have just used the un-word "y'all". I'M single, and I still don't want or feel the need to find a reason to hate on others' happiness. If you are lonely, do something about it. If you are in a relationship with a loser who doesn't at least show you that they care today, ditch the loser, go out with your friends, and have a great time.
I feel like this should be more of an internal blog as opposed to the preaching I've been doing above to my non-existent readers, but that's my message for the day. You have the power to be happy, whether it's Valentine's Day or not. So DO IT. I am not going to sit around and feel sorry for someone who has the power to create their own reality and yet chooses to wallow in their pathetic notions of how terrible their life is. Puh-leaze.
Have a very happy Valentine's Day.
Or, have a very happy February the 14th.
Either way, decide to have a great day. I know I will.

Life for Rent.
I am officially on the hunt for an NYC apartment.
Aaand I'm searching... from California. How is this going to work?
I posted a lovely ad on Craig's List and have already gotten back three replies. Woo! There is one in particular that I would literally move into tomorrow if I had the chance, but the rent is more expensive than the other two people who have emailed me. But it's Upper East Side, I mean c'mon people! That is precisely what I wanted. Or do I? If you are reading this (you especially, Ben!) let me know where the best places to live in Manhattan are. I am not really interested in Brooklyn although I know it's a nice place to live, I stayed there for a month a couple summers back. I am looking for straight-up Manhattan, so if you have any tips (keep in mind I am a musical theater student who would love to be closer to where it all happens), please feel free to share your wisdom with me.
Although I find all of this rather exciting, my mother is not very happy with the situation. I completely understand why, but I can't help but still be angry with her. That's the eternal mother-daughter struggle, I suppose.
Life is coming at me fast and I've gotta be quick on my feet or good-bye, New York!

Preparing for New York, creating a Twitter, etc.
Life is finally starting to roll along. After much angst and ponderation, I've made my decision in regards to what I'll be doing for the next year. New York City, here I come!
Also, I've set up a Twitter. I have no idea how Twitter and Blogger are related, but they must be because there was a direct link from one to the other. I suppose I'll figure it out eventually. If you'd like to look me up, my username is AlexandraRoyse. Easy enough!
This blog is now the official Alexandra Ader mecca of information. Seeing as how I have real plans underway and won't be sitting around at home in California, it will now be worthwhile to update what I have been and will be up to in the future. Tune in, tune out, stick around, lose interest. Either way, I'll still be here recording my travels.
Until next time.
